So it's been a couple of weeks since I've talked to you guys on here however life has been pretty crazy recently. I am at uni full time and on the side I am also working 20 hours a week, on top of trying to study and socialise, so I apologise if I haven't been as active as you may like.

As festival time is coming around I thought it would be cool to try and create a festival inspired makeup look.

Life is scary sometimes.

One day you wake up feeling like you can take over the whole world, and the next day you wake up feeling like all you want to do is lay in bed and hide from all life's responsibilities.

Over the years I've come to realise that people will walk into your life, they will grab your hand and lead you into the most beautiful path you've been on so far in your life. Yet sometimes the same people will let go of your hand with no warning, and you will be left stranded by yourself in a place where you never thought you would feel lost.

Let's be honest, sometimes everything is going so great and it seems like this time around nothing could go wrong, but right when you start to feel safe, comfortable and happy, something so horrible comes crashing down and all of a sudden more problems come ricocheting around you and you just feel so hopeless because it feels so bad and so frickin' shitty!

It's so hard to understand why such things happen in life, and I personally wish I had an answer to that "why me" you keep asking yourself, but all I can say is that no matter how hard life gets, you have to keep going because I honestly believe that everything that happens in life just brings you closer to the destination that the universe has in mind for you.

The life around you will never stop going on. I'll be honest and say that, that sometimes scares me, and it gives me anxiety because all I can think is "will I be able to keep up? What if everything goes too fast?" But I realised that being scared and living with that burden of running away from problems only slows me down even more. I've come to the point where I believe that because life never stops, I shouldn't either. It's okay to take breaks and to give yourself time to heal, but you cannot give up and you cannot quit. There is so much waiting for us to do and we simply can't give fear the satisfaction of winning when we can give success, growth, and accomplishment the same satisfaction, if not even more.

Please believe in yourself and encourage yourself instead of doubting yourself. Keep it positive, fill your heart with gratitude for what you already have, and always remain humble and true to who you are.

Because even if life is hella scary, not living it is scarier.

HOLY SHIT! It Ends With Us is one of the most powerful, raw, honest, inspiring and profoundly beautiful stories I've ever read. It wasn't anything like what I expected, but it delivered so much more than I ever hoped for. This is the kind of book that I want to give to every woman and just be like.. READ THIS BOOK. NOW. Come to think of it, all men should read it too. EVERYONE should read this book. Absolutely everyone. It's a story of unshakable love and finding the strength to make the right choice in the hardest situation. I honestly don't think I've ever been prouder of a heroine. Colleen Hoover is an overall amazing author and her writing is always different and unique but this story left a lasting mark on my heart. It is a MUST-READ!!

This is a completely spoiler-free review. I'm not even going to add the blurb or tell you what this book is about. It's a Colleen Hoover book. Enough said. But I really feel that you should just dive into this book without knowing anything about the plot, because I went into this book without knowing anything at all... and I was blown away the story!

This book is unputdownable! You'll notice as you read that there are literally no good stopping points. None at all. I began reading it in the afternoon and everything I tried to put it down to go to the bathroom or to go get dinner, I just had to try and multi-task because there was no way I was putting it down. I didn't finish until 2 AM but my gosh was it ever worth it!

Of all the heroines I've ever read, Lily was 100% the one I admired the most. I knew I loved her from the first few pages, but having finished the book, I truly couldn't be prouder of her. Her strength and conviction over the course of this story made her into a heroine I'd want every girl and woman to read about and look up to. She was so real and vulnerable as we all are, but the strength with which she took control of her life was admirable on such a deep level and as I was going through some struggles while reading this book it put into perspective how I can take back the happiness in my life.

There's such an incredibly powerful message in this book that is very subtly woven in from the start. It begins in the first chapter, but you don't yet realise how significant each of these moments truly are... and as you read more, these pieces of the story come together forming a scenario that gives such a raw, honest, portrayal of an incredible relevant issue. I'm not mentioning it on purpose because I don't want you to expect it. The fact that it's unexpected for you as the reader is very important because it's also unexpected for the heroine. As she begins to realise what kind of situation she's in, so do you. And this realisation very much allows you to experience her journey with her.

As a romance reader, I found this book incredibly refreshing. As much as I adore the romance genre (and I really do), it sometimes can get a little repetitive. As both an avid reader, I'm always looking for books that step outside the lines a little; ones that do something different or take the issues a little deeper. This book represented exactly what I wish I could be reading all the time - not this literal story, but just the fact that it went in such a different direction and gave me such an unexpected story that left me with such a strong message.

One of the things that intrigued me the most and had me wondering throughout the whole book was what the title really meant - and there's this very specific moment when the title echoed in the story that just had such a strong impact as I read it. That was my cheer moment. I just sat back and went 'woah!'. The title is truly perfect.

This is now one of my top favourite books the year (even though it came out last year). I was unable to put it down from the moment I started reading and I know that this is one of those profoundly beautiful and unforgettable stories that will stay with me for a long time. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I had the pleasure of spending some time before Christmas in New York! Although I didn't see any snow, seeing this city during the holiday season at least once in your life is a must! New York is absolute MADNESS during the holiday season and leading up to Christmas. I've never seen a busier city, EVER! This was my first visit to New York, and it's safe to say I have fell in love with the fast paced city. Although at first, it can be a bit startling, but you get used to it quickly. It's such an intense place, where every day always has something new, waiting to be explored. Sadly, we left New York one day before snow fell (would you believe my luck!), but of course, it was still another unforgettable adventure. So, here is a massive post of my recommendations in New York City!

Sometimes life gets hard and shit happens... and these past couple of days have been a wakeup call to me.

Life is a theater - invite your audience carefully.

Not everyone is spiritually healthy and mature enough to have a front row spot in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least minimise your time with draining, negative, incompatible not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships/fellowships!

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to: which ones lift and which ones lean? which ones encourage and which ones discourage? which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?

When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse?

Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know and appreciate you and the gift that lies within you? when you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

The people you spend time with impact your quality of life. Be conscious of the people you choose to spend time with. You cannot change the people around you... but you can change the people you are around. So choose wisely the people who sit in the front row of your life.

My idea of summer attire is simple, lightweight fabrics that are comfortable and allow freedom of movement.

If I could wear two fabrics for the rest of my life it would be linen and denim. I love lightweight, loose-fitting linen dresses and shirts that fall generously and anything denim is always a fail-safe option. For me, I love nothing more than pairing denim with all my staples, no matter what the season, as the great thing about denim is that you can style it a multitude of ways.
